Football Recap: Huge Rushing Attack Leads Gainesville over Crystal River

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Davenport, Gainesville was happy to have turned things around on Friday. They walked away with a 20-7 victory over the Crystal River Pirates.

Gainesville was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 230 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 161 rushing yards every time they've taken the field this season.

Gainesville now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Crystal River, their defeat was their first of the season and also makes their record 2-1.

Gainesville and Crystal River will both get their first taste of in-conference action in their upcoming games. The Hurricanes will take on rival Lecanto at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Crystal River is set to challenge their familiar foe Hernando at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
