Softball Recap: Klein Forest Comes Up Short

Klein Forest lost to Klein Cain back in April of 2025 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Eagles fell 7-2 to the Hurricanes. The Eagles have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Jaylee Garza-2029 spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered three earned (and four unearned) runs on seven hits and racked up 12 Ks. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts any time she's pitched this season.

On the hitting side, Ryleigh Culberson-2028 made the most of her time in the batter's box despite the final result and went 1-for-3 with one home run. Saturn Dominguez-2029 also deserves some recognition as she brought in her first RBI of the season.

Klein Forest's record now sits at 9-6. As for Klein Cain, their victory was their first in the district, bumping their district record up to 1-4 and their overall record up to 6-11.

Coincidentally, Klein Forest and Klein Cain will both be playing Klein Collins the next time they take the field. The Hurricanes will host the Tigers at 6:15 p.m. on Tuesday, while the Eagles will head out to face them at 6:15 p.m. on Friday.
