            Basketball Recap: Laurel-Concord-Coleridge Bears vs. Humphrey-Lindsay Bulldogs        
        
		
        
        
            Laurel-Concord-Coleridge was not able to break out of their rough patch  on Friday as the team picked up their sixth straight  defeat. They were three  points away from ending the streak, but they lost a  59-56 heartbreaker at the hands of the Humphrey-Lindsay Bulldogs.
Despite the  loss, Laurel-Concord-Coleridge saw an underclassman step up: sophomore  Carlie Kvols  went 6 for 14  on her way to 17  points and five  rebounds.  Rena Rasmussen was another key player,  dropping  a double-double on 15  points and ten  boards.
 Even though they lost, Laurel-Concord-Coleridge  smashed the offensive glass and  finished the game with 12  offensive boards. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Humphrey-Lindsay only pulled down six  offensive rebounds.
 Leading Humphrey-Lindsay to victory were  Faith Korth and  Claire Korth.  Faith  went 8 of 14  on her way to 22 points and six  steals, while  Claire  posted 26  points. The  match was  Claire's fourth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of  Nyla Beller, who  put up two points in addition to six  rebounds and three  steals.
Laurel-Concord-Coleridge's defeat dropped their record down to 5-8. As for Humphrey-Lindsay, the  victory was  the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 10-2.
 Laurel-Concord-Coleridge will take on Wayne at 6:00  p.m.  on Tuesday. Wayne has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games. As for Humphrey-Lindsay, they will face off against Wisner-Pilger on Tuesday. Humphrey-Lindsay is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 50.5  points per game  this season.
