Recap: St. Louis HomeSchool P Patriots vs. Kansas City East Christian Academy Lions

The St. Louis HomeSchool P Patriots have been a dominant force so far, but they're in the middle of a mini-slump at the moment. They took a 71-59 hit to the loss column at the hands of Kansas City East Christian Academy on Friday. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.

St. Louis HomeSchool P lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Liam Boyce, who almost dropped a double-double on 12 points and nine rebounds. Tremayne Jackson was another key contributor, scoring 14 points.

Kansas City East Christian Academy's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Jared Devine, who dropped a double-double on 25 points and ten rebounds. Devine hasn't dropped below 18 points for four straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Kai Lewis, who scored 20 points along with five rebounds and three steals.

St. Louis HomeSchool P's loss dropped their record down to 18-5. As for Kansas City East Christian Academy, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six contests, which provided a nice bump to their 22-11 record this season.
