Basketball Recap: Medfield Picks Up Fifth Straight Win at Home

Medfield's game last Friday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Tuesday. They blew past the Holliston Panthers 61-41. Given the Warriors' advantage in MaxPreps' Massachusetts basketball rankings (they are ranked 92nd, while the Panthers are ranked 225th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Medfield's win was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 9-4. As for Holliston, their loss dropped their record down to 4-8.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Medfield will take on Medway at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Medfield knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past seven matchups -- so hopefully Medway likes a good challenge. As for Holliston, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Dedham at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.
