Soccer Game Preview: Gatlinburg-Pittman vs. South-Doyle

Gatlinburg-Pittman has won three straight games at home, while South-Doyle has won three straight on the road, but those streaks won't matter much on Thursday. The Highlanders will welcome the Cherokees at 6:00 p.m.

Gatlinburg-Pittman gave up the first goal on Saturday, but they didn't let that get them down. They came out on top against May River by a score of 3-1.

Meanwhile, South-Doyle faced Sevier County in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Tuesday. Neither the Cherokees nor the Smoky Bears could gain the upper hand so the two teams had to settle for a 2-2 draw. South-Doyle's defeat signaled the end of their undefeated season.

Gatlinburg-Pittman's victory bumped their record up to 10-4-1. South-Doyle's draw gives them a new season record of 11-1-3.
