Basketball Game Preview: Cloverdale Clovers vs. North Putnam Cougars

Cloverdale is 1-9 against North Putnam since February of 2019 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Thursday. The Cloverdale Clovers will be playing in front of their home fans against the North Putnam Cougars at 7:30 p.m. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this game.

Last Saturday, Cloverdale ended up a good deal behind White River Valley and lost 66-50. The Clovers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Meanwhile, North Putnam lost to Greencastle on the road by a 58-39 margin on Friday. While losing is never fun, the Cougars can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Indiana basketball rankings (they are ranked 393rd, while the Tiger Cubs are ranked 147th).

Cloverdale now has a losing record at 6-7. As for North Putnam, they dropped their record down to 1-11 with the loss, which was their fourth straight on the road.
