Recap: McIntosh Tigers vs. Bison Cardinals

The McIntosh Tigers's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their 12th straight loss. They fell to Bison 60-56. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for McIntosh in their matchups with Bison: they've now lost six in a row.

Rylee Veal was his usual excellent self, scoring 22 points along with seven rebounds and three steals for Bison. That makes it 16 consecutive games in which Veal has scored at least a third of Bison's points. Colt Kopren was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on 12 points and 12 rebounds.

McIntosh dropped their record down to 2-12 with that loss, which was their fifth straight on the road. As for Bison, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 6-10.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. McIntosh and Takini will face off at 1:00 p.m. on February 10th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. As for Bison, they will head out on the road to take on Wakpala at 8:00 p.m. on Friday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are closely ranked in South Dakota (Bison is ranked 144th, while Wakpala is ranked 125th).
