Basketball Game Preview: Spring Creek Spartans vs. Dayton Dust Devils

Spring Creek and Dayton are an even 5-5 against one another since January of 2019, but not for long. The Spring Creek Spartans will look to defend their home court on Friday against the Dayton Dust Devils at 7:30 p.m. Spring Creek has been dominant on offense recently, having racked up an incredible 195 points over their last three games.

On Tuesday, Spring Creek was able to grind out a solid win over Lowry, taking the game 65-53.

Meanwhile, Dayton faced Fernley in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Friday. Dayton came up short against Fernley, falling 54-30. The Dust Devils have struggled against the Vaqueros recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive lost matchup.

Spring Creek is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven contests, which provided a nice bump to their 10-5 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 63.9 points per game. As for Dayton, their defeat dropped their record down to 10-3.

Spring Creek strolled past Dayton when the teams last played back in February of 2024 by a score of 74-56. Does Spring Creek have another victory up their sleeve, or will Dayton turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
