Basketball Game Preview: Old Suwanee Christian Conquerors vs. Kings Way Christian School Crusaders

After both having extra time off, the Old Suwanee Christian Conquerors and the Kings Way Christian School Crusaders will shake off the cobwebs and challenge one another at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Both have had a bumpy ride up to this point with five consecutive losses for Old Suwanee Christian and nine for Kings Way Christian School.

Old Suwanee Christian saw some tournament action last Friday. They fell to Tabernacle Christian 53-49.

Meanwhile, Kings Way Christian School played a tough matchup last Friday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They had to suffer through a 90-37 loss at the hands of Bible Baptist Christian. The Crusaders were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 47-17.

Old Suwanee Christian will need focus on slowing down Tristin Philistin, one of several Kings Way Christian School players who made an impact when they last played. He went 6 for 10 on his way to 13 points and six rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Jed Yarnall, who almost dropped a double-double on 11 points and nine boards.

Even though they lost, Kings Way Christian School smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 13 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive boards in nine consecutive contests.

Old Suwanee Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 3-9. As for Kings Way Christian School, their loss dropped their record down to 2-11.

Everything came up roses for Old Suwanee Christian against Kings Way Christian School in their previous matchup back in November of 2024, as the squad secured a 79-42 victory. In that game, Old Suwanee Christian amassed a halftime lead of 45-16, an impressive feat they'll look to repeat on Tuesday.
