Baseball Game Preview: Loretto Mustangs vs. Summertown Eagles

For the second straight game, Loretto will face off against Summertown. The Mustangs will host the Eagles at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Loretto's pitching crew has only allowed 2.2 runs per game this season, so Summertown's hitters will have their work cut out for them.

Loretto is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. They never let Summertown get on the board and left with an 11-0 victory on Monday. The high-scoring effort was just what the Mustangs needed considering they were shut out in their previous matchup.

For Summertown's part, they saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Foster Paley, who went 1-for-2 with one double.

Loretto's win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 5-3-1. Those road victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.3 runs on average over those games. As for Summertown, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 8-5.
