Soccer Recap: Dyersburg Comes Up Short

After flying high against Peabody on Tuesday, Dyersburg came back down to earth. The Trojans lost 5-1 to the Crockett County Cavaliers on Thursday. The loss continues a trend for Dyersburg in their meetings with Crockett County: they've now lost five in a row.

Dyersburg's defeat was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 6-5-4. As for Crockett County, the victory was the seventh in a row for them, bringing their record up to 8-3.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Dyersburg will challenge Covington at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Crockett County, they will take on Obion County at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. Crockett County are facing Obion County at the right time seeing as Obion County are stuck on a three-game losing streak.
