Basketball Recap: San Jose Prep Takes a Loss

San Jose Prep was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They fell 70-62 to the Legion Collegiate Academy Lancers. While the Storm didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Lancers 20-13 in the first quarter.

Isaiah Worley was his usual excellent self, going 8 for 11 from beyond the arc on his way to 35 points and five rebounds for Legion Collegiate Academy. Those 35 points gave Worley a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Maddox Cottman, who went 6 of 9 on his way to 15 points and five rebounds.

San Jose Prep's defeat dropped their record down to 4-9. As for Legion Collegiate Academy, with the victory, they broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 4-14.

San Jose Prep wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 50-43 loss against Christian Academy on the 4th. As for Legion Collegiate Academy, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 70-40 defeat against Northmont on the 4th.
