Basketball Recap: Atlantic Snags Seventh Win in Last Eight Games

Atlantic posted their closest victory since November 21, 2024 on Monday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Hagerty Huskies, sneaking past 56-53. This was payback for the Sharks, who suffered a 69-40 defeat the last time these two teams met.

Joshua Wiggins had a dynamite game for Atlantic, going 8 for 11 on his way to 21 points and six boards. Another player making a difference was Mekhi Yan, who posted 11 points and six rebounds.

Despite the loss, Hagerty still got an impressive performance from Asa Kohn, who went 9 of 20 en route to 23 points. Isaac Lopez was another key player, putting up eight points and six boards.

Atlantic has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight games, which provided a nice bump to their 14-4 record this season. As for Hagerty, they dropped their record down to 6-10 with the loss, which was their sixth straight on the road.

Atlantic wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 63-30 win against University on the 14th. Hagerty has also already played their next contest, a 64-62 victory against Lake Mary on the 14th.
