Football Recap: Booker T. Washington Falls to Eufaula in First Game of Season + How To Watch

Booker T. Washington unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-field advantage in their season opener. They received a blow on Friday as they fell 32-18 to the Eufaula Tigers. The Golden Eagles were down 29-6 at the end of the third quarter, which was just too much to recover from.

Several Golden Eagles players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Marquez Daniel, who picked up 95 receiving yards and one score.

Eufaula had a senior duo take command as Jaylin Wright rushed for 171 yards and one touchdown on only 14 carries and A'Torian Slaughter gained 104 total yards and two touchdowns.

Booker T. Washington will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Talladega at 7:00 p.m. on September 5. As for Eufaula, they will welcome Russell County at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
