Basketball Recap: Mountain View Takes a Loss

Mountain View lost against Farmington back in March of 2021 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Mountain View Bruins were just a bucket shy of victory and fell 56-55 to the Farmington Phoenix. The Bruins just can't catch a break and have now endured three losses in a row.

Mountain View's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Jaxson Hockersmith, who went 6 for 12 on his way to 19 points and six rebounds. Brennan Olsen was another key player, going 6 of 12 on his way to 16 points.

Mountain View's loss dropped their record down to 3-5. As for Farmington, their victory bumped their record up to 2-6.

Mountain View has already played their next game, a 58-47 defeat against Pleasant Grove on the 20th. As for Farmington, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 71-65 win against Northridge on the 18th.
