Football Recap: Indian Creek Piles Up the Points Against Madison

Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Indian Creek walked away with it. They claimed a resounding 46-7 victory over the Madison Cubs. With the Braves ahead 32-7 at the half, the contest was all but over already.

Drew Pingleton continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, rushing for 181 yards and three touchdowns on only 14 carries. With that strong performance, he is now averaging an impressive 102.4 rushing yards per game. Indian Creek also got help from Hunter Worley, who showed off his sure hands for 120 receiving yards.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: Indian Creek was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 264 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've posted since back in October of 2024.

Indian Creek didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off three passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Greyson Greene and Nate Nash. Nash got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.

The win (which was Indian Creek's third in a row) raised their record to 7-3. The team dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 32 points. As for Madison, their loss dropped their record down to 2-9.

Coming up, Indian Creek will take on Scottsburg at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Warriors' defense has only allowed 9.9 points per game this season, so the Braves' offense will have their work cut out for them. Madison does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
