Basketball Recap: Wildwood Makes It 11 in a Row on the Road

Wildwood extended their road winning streak to 11 games dating back to last season thanks to a huge performance from Zoey Brown. The Wildwood Wildcats snuck past the Gainesville Hurricanes with a 54-50 victory on Tuesday thanks in part to Brown, who went 8 of 16 en route to 21 points and six boards. She has been hot, having also posted two or more steals the last five times she's played.

Wildwood's win bumped their record up to 18-0. As for Gainesville, their defeat ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 9-8.

When Wildwood and Gainesville next hit the court, they'll be up against teams who recently just can't seem to lose. Wildwood will square off against Mount Dora Christian Academy and their four-game winning streak at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Wildwood is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 68.8 points per game this season. Similarly, Gainesville will try to stop Newberry's nine-game winning streak when the meet at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
