Basketball Recap: Pass Christian Comes Up Short + How To Watch

If Pass Christian was riding high fresh off their 61-26 takedown of Long Beach on Thursday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Pirates were beaten by the Perry Central Bulldogs 61-31 on Saturday. The Pirates were down 52-24 at the end of the third quarter, and things only got worse from there.

Perry Central found their leader in sophomore Jamyla Dixon, who shot 73% from the field on her way to 25 points in addition to seven assists and seven rebounds. Dixon's afternoon made it seven games in a row in which she has scored at least 18 points. Another player making a difference was Chailyn Travis, who posted 13 points and seven boards.

Pass Christian has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-4 record this season. As for Perry Central, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 6-1.

Looking ahead, Pass Christian will host North Forrest at 3:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Perry Central, they are taking a road trip to take on George County at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
