Baseball Recap: Greenup County Musketeers vs. Johnson Central Golden Eagles

Greenup County was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They lost 15-3 to the Johnson Central Golden Eagles. The home team had taken home the W every time these teams have met since May 14, 2021, but that streak is no more.

Greenup County saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Kyler Robinson, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base and one RBI.

Greenup County's defeat dropped their record down to 13-15. As for Johnson Central, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 16-7.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Greenup County will venture away from home to take on Portsmouth West at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Johnson Central, they are taking a road trip to square off against Lawrence County at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Golden Eagles 3.8, the Bulldogs 3.8) so any runs scored will be well earned.
