Flag Football Recap: Cross Keys Takes a Loss

Cross Keys extended their losing streak to five on Monday, dropping them down to 1-5. They took a blow against the Tucker Tigers, falling 28-0. If the Phoenix were looking for revenge after losing 35-0 to the Tigers when the teams met back in November of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

As for Tucker, they now have a winning record of 4-3. Their offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

Zuri McCalpine had an outrageously good game as she rushed for 67 yards and two scores on only six carries, and also threw for 125 yards and a pair of TDs on only 11 passes.

Looking ahead, Cross Keys will venture away from home to challenge Forsyth Central at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Tucker, they will welcome Miller Grove at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The two teams have allowed few points on average (the Tigers 10.1, the Wolverines 14) so any points scored will be well earned.
