Boyle County had already won 15 in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 4.9 runs) and they went ahead and made it 16 on Monday. They walked away with a 6-2 win over the East Jessamine Jaguars. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 3-2 last Tuesday.

Caeden Patterson spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered two runs (both of which were unearned) on four hits. He has been consistent: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in eight consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Boyle County's victory was truly a team effort as four different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Kyler Claunch, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with two runs and one stolen base. Owen Wheeler was another, going 2-for-4 with two RBI.

Boyle County's win was their eighth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 22-7. The road victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.9 runs on average over those games. As for East Jessamine, their defeat dropped their record down to 16-13.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Boyle County will host Pulaski County at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for East Jessamine, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Washington County at 6:15 p.m. on Tuesday.
