Preview: Erie Tigers vs. Brighton Bulldogs
The Erie Tigers will be playing at home against the Brighton Bulldogs at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Erie focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up nine on Tuesday.
Last Tuesday, Erie was fully in charge, breezing past the Red Wolves 56-16 at home. With Erie ahead 35-4 at the half, the match was all but over already.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Erie to victory, but perhaps none more so than Juliet Slater, who scored 12 points along with three steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Alexandria Ridenour, who scored eight points along with three steals.
Meanwhile, Brighton's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their 12th straight loss. They took a hard 40-26 fall against Prairie View.
The win makes it two in a row for Erie and bumps their season record up to 11-5. As for Brighton, they dropped their record down to 1-15 with that loss, which was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season.
Everything went Erie's way against the Bulldogs in their previous meeting back in February of 2023 as the Tigers made off with a 41-19 victory. Does Erie have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Bulldogs turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
