Basketball Recap: Waldron Comes Up Short

If Waldron was riding high fresh off their 52-22 takedown of Will Carleton Academy last Saturday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Waldron Spartans took a blow against the Hillsdale Academy Colts on Thursday, falling 67-22. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Colts this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 46-27 back in January.

Waldron's defeat dropped their record down to 8-11. As for Hillsdale Academy, the victory was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 12-6.

The future could be bright for both Waldron and Hillsdale Academy: their next opponents haven't had the best luck recently. Waldron will look to extend Britton Deerfield's seven-game losing streak when they meet at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Hillsdale Academy will try to hand Hillsdale their 18th-straight loss when the two meet at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
