Football Game Preview: Prairie View Thunderhawks vs. Fairview Knights + How To Watch

Prairie View is 0-4 against Fairview since September of 2016 but things could change on Friday. The Thunderhawks will host the Knights at 7:00 p.m. This will be Prairie View's first chance to prove their worth in the conference.

Prairie View lost 28-6 to Mountain Range on Friday.

Meanwhile, Fairview entered their tilt with Smoky Hill on Friday with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. They blew past the Buffaloes, posting a 47-0 victory. The final result isn't all that surprising considering the Knights' considerable advantage in MaxPreps' Colorado football rankings (they are ranked 14th, while the Buffaloes are ranked 90th).

Prairie View better keep an eye on Ki Ellison. He was instrumental in Fairview's win, throwing for 291 yards and four TDs while completing 78.6% of his passes, and also punching in one score on the ground. That's the most passing yards Ellison has posted since back in November of 2024. Another player making a difference was Sabi Ruttgers, who gained 51 total yards and two touchdowns.

Wins are hard to come by when you can't run the rock, something Fairview proved: they limited Smoky Hill to a paltry 2.7 yards per carry. The Knights' ground attack was stronger, having averaged 4.1.

Fairview's win bumped their record up to 4-1. As for Prairie View, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-5.
