Football Recap: Central Takes a Loss + How To Watch

If Central was feeling good fresh off their 53-24 takedown of Enterprise last Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Red Devils took a blow against the IMG Academy Ascenders on Friday, falling 49-14. The Red Devils were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 42-7.

Bobby Coleman and Tj Ware certainly did their best on Friday to avoid the loss. Coleman threw for 239 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 10.9 yards per attempt, while Ware picked up 98 receiving yards and one score. Ware really caught the secondary sleeping when he pulled down a catch that went for 80 yards.

IMG Academy found their leader in sophomore Jayden Wade, who threw for 350 yards and four TDs on perfect 11-for-11 passing, and also rushed for 53 yards and one score. Those 350 passing yards set a new season-high mark for Wade. Osani Gayles also helped out with an impressive 122 receiving yards.

Having lost for the first time this season, Central fell to 5-1. As for IMG Academy, the win keeps them at an undefeated 5-0.

Central has already played their next contest, a 36-0 victory against Auburn on the 3rd. As for IMG Academy, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 27-14 win against Venice on the 3rd.
