Baseball Recap: Southern Comes Up Short

Southern has relied on a stalwart pitchers averaging four runs allowed per game, but that average took a hit on Saturday. They came up short against the Symmes Valley Vikings, falling 11-3. The Tornadoes were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Vikings apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in May of 2023.

Southern's loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 7-4. As for Symmes Valley, their victory was their tenth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 11-4.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Southern beat the Vikings by a score of 8-6 later that day.
