Pecos came tearing into Thursday's contest with six straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 20.2 points), and they left with even more momentum. They came within five points of losing the streak, but they secured a 63-58 W against the Clayton Yellowjackets. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 54-41 on February 1st.

Pecos pushed their record up to 17-9 with the win, which was their third straight at home. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 62.3 points over those games. As for Clayton, their loss dropped their record down to 12-12.

Pecos does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Clayton, they are taking a road trip to take on Tucumcari at 5:00 p.m. on Saturday. Clayton knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past five matchups -- so hopefully Tucumcari likes a good challenge.
