Basketball Recap: Lake City Comes Up Short

Lake City was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They were a single point away from ending the streak, but they lost a 42-41 heartbreaker at the hands of the Houghton Lake Bobcats. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Trojans this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 52-43 back in December of 2024.

Lake City's record now sits at 7-10. As for Houghton Lake, their record now sits at 6-10.

Lake City will take on Pine River Area at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Pine River Area will roll in looking for their sixth straight victory, something Lake City surely won't give up without a fight. As for Houghton Lake, they will face off against Tawas Area at 7:30 p.m. on Monday.
