After a string of eight wins, Metlakatla's good fortune finally ran out on Thursday. They received a blow as they fell 68-51 to the Mt. Edgecumbe Braves. The Chiefs were not able to make up for their defeat to the Braves from their previous meeting back in March of 2018.

Metlakatla's loss dropped their record down to 18-4. As for Mt. Edgecumbe, the victory (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 17-4.

Metlakatla does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Mt. Edgecumbe, they and Ketchikan will face off at 7:00 p.m. on Friday without much rest, having both just played. Mt. Edgecumbe knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past 18 contests -- so hopefully Ketchikan likes a good challenge.
