Baseball Recap: Northside Christian Academy Extends Winning Streak to Three

Northside Christian Academy hadn't done well against Richard Winn Academy recently (they were 0-4 in their previous four matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Thursday. The Northside Christian Academy Crusaders came out on top against the Richard Winn Academy Eagles by a score of 6-1. Winning may never get old, but the Crusaders sure are getting used to it with their third in a row.

Luke Bohnsack was a major factor no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run while striking out ten over six innings pitched. He has been consistent : he hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in five consecutive appearances. He was also solid in the batter's box, scoring a run while going 1-for-3.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Will Spotts, who went 2-for-3 with one home run and two runs. He is becoming a predictor of Northside Christian Academy's success: when he posts at least two runs the team is undefeated (and 2-5 when he doesn't).
