Laguna Creek fell to Franklin 38-0 last week, the largest margin of any game. JAQUAN BROWN-COLLINS was a bright spot for the Cardinals, as he ran for 30 yards in the loss.
Wadus Parker was a beast in the backfield as Elk Grove defeated Monterey Trail.
Parker provided a threat through the air and on the ground as the Thundering Herd bested the Mustangs.
D'ANTHONY ROSS made the biggest impact on defense this week as Laguna Creek lost to the Wildcats. The 6-foot-1 senior recorded 1 fumble.
Parker was the best running back in Delta Valley Conference this week. He ran for 217 yards on 29 carries as Elk Grove beat the Cardinals. Teammate Spencer Sheff added to the ground attack by rushing for 24 yards.
Leading the league in both passing and receiving yards, Mike Johnson's team's Lamar Jackson and Johnson have proven to be a lethal combination. 6-2 quarterback Jackson has thrown for 1,050 yards this season, while Johnson has 25 catches for 459 yards. Chris Nixon's team's Parker leads the league in rushing yards with 1,357.
Deandre Whittington-Grays of the Grant is just 44 yards short of surpassing 1,000 rushing yards for the season. Whittington-Grays has rushed for 956 yards on 130 carries so far this year.
As it stands, the Thundering Herd are in first, while Davis is in fifth.
The Pacers led the league in scoring this week after putting up 38 points on the Blue Devils. Whittington-Grays ran for 139 yards during the win.
