Volleyball Recap: Universal Academy Eagles vs. Universal Academy
The Eagles's game last Thursday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Tuesday. Everything went their way against Universal Academy as they made off with a 3-0 win.
Not only was the match a shutout, it was a big one: the Eagles took every set by at least 11 points. The final score came out to 25-14, 25-10, 25-9.
Leading the Eagles to victory were Janay Martin and Nathalia Lobella. Martin had seven aces, while Lobella hit 100% for six kills and ten aces. Those ten aces gave Lobella a new career-high. Reyna Rivas also deserves some recognition as she served her first ace of the season.
The Eagles' first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-6.
Looking ahead, the Eagles will host Kingdom Collegiate Academy at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Universal Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
