Volleyball Recap: Achievement First Providence Falls Short of North Providence in the Playoffs

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Achievement First Providence can now relate to. They came up short against the North Providence Cougars on Saturday, falling 3-0. The Falcons were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Cougars earlier this season, when they won 3-0.

Achievement First Providence's offense was headlined by James Gilbert and Jairon Nunez, who picked up five kills apiece. They got some help from AJ Kue and his 16 assists. Gilbert was also solid from the service line: he led the team with four aces.

Achievement First Providence's loss dropped their record down to 10-7. As for North Providence, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 10-8.

Achievement First Providence does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for North Providence, they will head out to challenge Mt. Hope at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
