Basketball Recap: Fair Grove Takes a Loss

Fair Grove lost against Mountain Home back in December of 2023 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The matchup between the Fair Grove Eagles and the Mountain Home Bombers didn't end well, with the Fair Grove Eagles falling 63-46. The game marked the Eagles' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

This is the second loss in a row for Fair Grove and nudges their season record down to 2-3. As for Mountain Home, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matches, which provided a nice bump to their 8-5 record this season.

It'll be Battle of the Birds when the Fair Grove Eagles face off against the Spokane Owls at 12:30 p.m. on Thursday. Fair Grove is facing Spokane at the right time seeing as Spokane is stuck on an eight-game losing streak. As for Mountain Home, they will take on Dumas in a tournament on Thursday. Mountain Home knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past 12 contests -- so hopefully Dumas likes a good challenge.
