Baseball Recap: Wilby Comes Up Short

Wilby was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They lost 21-2 to the Wolcott Eagles. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Wildcats of the 24-1 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2025.

Wilby's loss dropped their record down to 1-7. As for Wolcott, the win got them back to even at 4-4.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Wilby will square off against rival Seymour at 3:45 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Wolcott is set to face off against their familiar foe St. Paul Catholic at 4:00 p.m. on Monday.
