After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Bentley, Making Waves Academy was happy to have turned things around on Friday. They walked away with a 3-1 victory over the Contra Costa Christian Cougars. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last four times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-22, 25-20, 20-25, 25-16.

The win snapped Making Waves Academy's losing streak at seven matches and leaves them with a 3-12 record. As for Contra Costa Christian, they dropped their record down to 3-9 with the loss, which was their fourth straight on the road.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Making Waves Academy will take on rival Fremont Christian at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Contra Costa Christian is set to face off against their familiar foe Cornerstone Christian at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
