Volleyball Recap: Antelope Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Antelope was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They lost 3-0 to the McClatchy Lions. The Titans were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Lions apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in October of 2024.

While Antelope was kept off the board, it wasn't for a lack of trying: they cut into McClatchy's winning margin in every set. The final score came out to 25-15, 25-16, 25-23.

Antelope's offense was headlined by Gianna Grijalva and Tasina Balajadia Duenas, who picked up two kills apiece. They got some help from Emma Rumsey and her seven assists. Finally, Grijalva was also a dominant defender, finishing with a team-high three blocks.

Antelope's loss dropped their record down to 1-11. As for McClatchy, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-7 record this season.

Antelope wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 3-1 defeat against Kennedy on the 9th. As for McClatchy, they have also already played their next contest, a 3-1 victory against Cordova on the 9th.
