Mooreville was the 4-0 winner over East Webster when they last played one another last Tuesday, but their luck changed this time around. Mooreville fell 7-2 to East Webster on Friday. The Troopers' defeat signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Mooreville saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Ava Smith, who went 2-for-3 with one RBI.

Mooreville now has a losing record of 5-6. As for East Webster, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-8 record this season.

Mooreville will challenge Saltillo at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for East Webster, they will square off against South Pontotoc at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
