Canterbury skates past Ida Baker with ease

The Canterbury Cougars scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Tuesday. They breezed by Ida Baker at home to the tune of 88-54. That looming 88-54 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for Canterbury yet this season.

Canterbury's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Allan Rivera, who went 7 for 10 from beyond the arc en route to 26 points and 6 assists. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Rivera has scored all season. Landon Mashburn was another key contributor, scoring 22 points along with two steals.

Despite the loss, Ida Baker still got an impressive performance from Josue Rivera, who scored 14 points. The team also got some help courtesy of West Powell, who scored nine points.

Canterbury's victory bumped their record up to 5-13. As for Ida Baker, they dropped their record down to 1-14 with that loss, which was their 20th straight on the road dating back to last season.

Canterbury will face off against Charlotte at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Hopefully Charlotte focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 20 on Wednesday. As for Ida Baker, they will look to defend their home court on Thursday against Estero at 7:30 p.m. Estero is strutting with some offensive muscle, as they've averaged 59.4 points per game.
