St. Peter's Prep waltzed into their matchup on Wednesday with five straight wins... but they left with six. Their pitchers stepped up to hand the Bayonne Bees a 7-0 shutout. The Marauders' pitching crew has been rock solid lately; the team hasn't given up a run in their last four games.

Logan Chi made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out 13 over 5.2 innings pitched. Chi was also big at the plate, going a perfect 3-for-3 with one double and one RBI.

In other pitching news, Hudson Giddens looked comfortable as he pitched 1.1 innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit.

Back at the plate, David Tallarida was incredible, going 2-for-3 with one home run, three RBI, and one double. Those three RBI gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Axel Martinez, who went 1-for-3 with one home run and two RBI.

St. Peter's Prep kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 12 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least eight hits in three consecutive contests.

St. Peter's Prep's win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 6-3. Those road victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 0.3 runs on average over those games. As for Bayonne, their loss was their first of the season and makes their record 2-1.

St. Peter's Prep will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Bees: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
