Baseball Recap: Aurora Christian Academy Arrows vs. Maranatha Baptist Academy Warriors
After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Galena, Aurora Christian Academy was happy to have turned things around on Saturday. Everything went their way against the Maranatha Baptist Academy Warriors as the Aurora Christian Academy Arrows made off with a 13-4 win. The high-scoring effort was just what Aurora Christian Academy needed considering they were shutout in their previous game.
Luke Sweeney was excellent, scoring two runs and stealing a base while getting on base in all three of his plate appearances. Another player making a difference was Sawyer Jones, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-3.
The victory got Aurora Christian Academy back to even at 1-1.
Aurora Christian Academy will be playing in front of their home fans against Lebanon HomeSchool at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday. Maranatha Baptist Academy will take on Aurora Christian Academy at 12:00 p.m. on Friday.
