Recap: North Fork Miners vs. Grand Valley Cardinals
The North Fork Miners's game last Thursday was a tough loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Saturday. They came out on top against Grand Valley by a score of 43-30. Winning is a bit easier when you work as a team to rack up 12 more assists than your opponent, as North Fork did.
Ryder Hart was nothing short of spectacular: he scored 16 points along with seven rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points he has scored all season. Moss Inman was another key contributor, scoring ten points along with five steals.
Grand Valley lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Andrew Horner, who scored nine points. Another player making a difference was Uriel De La Rosa, who scored six points along with five rebounds.
North Fork's victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 8-9. As for Grand Valley, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 6-11.
North Fork will look to defend their home court on Thursday against Cedaredge at 7:30 p.m. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are closely ranked in Colorado (North Fork is ranked 226th, while Cedaredge is ranked 210th). As for Grand Valley, they will head out on the road to square off against Soroco at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
