Volleyball Recap: Overland Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Overland was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They came up short against the Cherry Creek Bruins, falling 3-0. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Trailblazers of the 3-0 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in September of 2024.

The final score came out to 25-18, 25-7, 25-12.

Aubrey Blake was nothing short of spectacular for Cherry Creek: she had 12 digs and five aces. That's the most aces Blake has posted since back in November of 2024. Anya Coren also deserves some recognition as she served her first aces of the season.

Overland's loss dropped their record down to 3-12. As for Cherry Creek, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 4-5.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Overland will square off against rival Arapahoe at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Cherry Creek is set to take on their familiar foe Eaglecrest at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
