St. Francis is 8-2 against Nichols since May of 2021 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Monday. The Red Raiders will be playing in front of their home fans against the Vikings at 4:30 p.m. Both come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
St. Francis is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. Everything went their way against Dunkirk on Saturday as they made off with a 14-1 victory. The Red Raiders haven't had any issues with the Marauders recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive win against them.

Ryan Forringer made a splash while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run and allowing only one hit while striking out nine over four innings pitched. Those nine strikeouts gave him a new career-high. He was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-4 with two runs, one double, and one RBI. That RBI marked the first that he has brought in this season.
In other pitching news, Cam Bush looked comfortable as he tossed two innings while giving up just one earned run but no hits. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in strikeouts (five).
Back at the plate, James O'Brien was incredible, getting on base in all four of his plate appearances with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI. Those two runs gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Aidan Curran, who went 1-for-3 with three RBI and one run.
St. Francis always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .524. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Dunkirk only posted an OBP of .280.
Nichols let Depew stack six runs on them in the sixth inning on Friday but luckily Nichols prevailed anyway. The Vikings had just enough and edged out the Wildcats 9-8. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Vikings.
Max Zlotnick was a major factor no matter where he played. On the mound, he tossed one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than one walk in three consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, going 1-for-2 with one run and one RBI.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Trenton Ruffolo, who got on base in all four of his plate appearances with three stolen bases, one run, and one double. Dominic Ferlito was another key player, going 2-for-4 with one stolen base and two RBI.
St. Francis pushed their record up to 3-9-1 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road. The road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 6.7 runs over those games. As for Nichols, their victory bumped their record up to 9-4.
St. Francis suffered a grim 11-0 defeat to Nichols in their previous meeting back in April. Will the Red Raiders have more luck at home instead of on the road? Check MaxPreps after the match for a full breakdown of the game, commentary, and other baseball content.
