Softball Recap: Medford Raiders vs. Antigo Red Robins
Medford lost to Antigo back in May of 2024, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Tuesday. The Raiders blew past the Red Robins 10-2. The Raiders might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won four contests by eight runs or more this season.
Rylee Hraby made a splash while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out six batters over seven innings while giving up just two earned runs off five hits. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts in eight consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going 3-for-4 with two runs and one double.

In other batting news, Victoria Konieczny was incredible, going 3-for-5 with one home run and five RBI. Those five RBI gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Addison Brahmer, who went 2-for-4 with two stolen bases and two runs.
Medford was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .459. They are a perfect 4-0 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.
Medford's win bumped their record up to 7-4. As for Antigo, they now have a losing record of 3-4.
Coming up, Medford will square off against Northland Pines at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Eagles have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 23 runs per game on average), something the Raiders will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Antigo, they are taking a road trip to take on Tomahawk at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
