Baseball Recap: Oswayo Valley Comes Up Short

Oswayo Valley was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They lost 15-4 to the Cowanesque Valley Indians. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Green Wave of the 11-1 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2024.

Oswayo Valley's defeat dropped their record down to 2-4. As for Cowanesque Valley, their record is now 5-1-1.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Oswayo Valley will head out to square off against Cameron County at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The Raiders have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 6.8 runs per game on average), something the Green Wave will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Cowanesque Valley, they are taking a road trip to challenge Coudersport at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Indians' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Falcons have averaged an impressive 8.6 runs per game this season.
