Recap: Louisville Lions vs. Elmwood-Murdock Knights
The Louisville Lions lost against the Elmwood-Murdock Knights back in December of 2022, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. Louisville took a serious blow against Elmwood-Murdock, falling 63-35. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Louisville in their matchups with Elmwood-Murdock: they've now lost five in a row.
Tatum Backemeyer was the offensive standout of the game as she scored 29 points along with 5 steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Delaney "laney" Frahm, who scored 14 points along with 7 assists and 6 rebounds.
Louisville now has a losing record at 1-2. As for Elmwood-Murdock, the win makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-0.
Louisville will head out on the road to face off against Nebraska City at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Hopefully Nebraska City focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 16 on Tuesday. As for Elmwood-Murdock, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Auburn at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
