Baseball Recap: Camp Hill Takes Down Halifax in a Playoff Battle

With a playoff win on the line, Camp Hill rose to the challenge on Thursday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 3-1 victory over the Halifax Wildcats. The win was familiar territory for the Lions, who have now won four games in a row.

Jonathan Drawbaugh spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned run on two hits and racked up 12 Ks. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in five consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Camp Hill's victory was truly a team effort as three different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Drew Branstetter, who went 2-for-3 with one run and one RBI.

Camp Hill's win bumped their record up to 12-8. As for Halifax, with the defeat, they broke their seven-game winning streak and moved their record to 18-3.

As of now, neither Camp Hill nor the Wildcats have any future games scheduled.
