Basketball Game Preview: Humboldt Hawks vs. Higher Ground Academy

The Humboldt Hawks will venture away from home to take on Higher Ground Academy at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

It's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 68-32, which was the final score in Humboldt's tilt against Lakes International Language Academy back in December of 2024.

Meanwhile, Higher Ground Academy played a tough matchup on Saturday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 50-11 to Roosevelt, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior. Higher Ground Academy was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 32-5.

Humboldt's loss dropped their record down to 1-11. As for Higher Ground Academy, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 3-3.
